This is it! Our first performance of 2010-11 and it isn’t even October yet!!!  The Band & Color Guard will be marching in the Annual “Ontario Days Parade” on Saturday, July 3, 2010!!

All Band & Guard Members are to report to the King Band Room on Saturday morning at 6:00 a.m. sharp! Be sure to have the following with you:
A)  Your instrument
B)  Travel Uniform:
1.  Blue Band Polo Shirt  (or a “plain” blue short sleeve shirt with no logos!)
2.  Black shorts for everyone
3.  White socks/White tennis shoes (no other colors on tennis shoes or laces please)
C)  Be sure to have a “BIG” Breakfast before you get to King H.S. at 6 a.m.!!!
(Drink lots of water the night before.)

Every year there is someone who decides not to follow this advice and they end up feeling light headed and/or faint once the parade starts. You need a BIG breakfast so that you’ll have the energy to burn off when the parade begins. The parade is approximately 1 mile and it is usually warm.

Parents, the parade is “FREE” come on down and join us for the day. However, all Band and Guard members will travel there by District bus and will have to come back by District bus. Please stay at a distance from the Band & Guard the day of the parade...I have a lot to do to get them ready and they must focus on what I am trying to tell them. I do invite you to help out...we do need your help at all Parades, Band Reviews and Field Shows. If you would like to help out just see any Booster Executive Board Member before the Parade, or sign up online.

The Parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. We hope to see as many parents, family members, and friends attend this parade. You will be able to pick the students up from King at 12:00 p.m.  If we are running late for any reason, I will have one of our Booster Parents report to King and inform you of any problems.
